In the New York Auto Show 2010 Buick will roll out the latest version of the lacrosse sedan, this time with only four and six cylinder engines.
2011 Lacrosse is offered with 2.4-liter Ecotec engine, four-cylinder engine as standard and 3.6 liter V-6 is an option. Now the 3.0-liter V-6 models will be dropped from the lineup. New features for 2011 is the addition of optional all-wheel drive on models equipped with 3.6-liter V-6.
The new four-cylinder engines, direct injection technology helps deliver power 182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. Direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber allows a higher compression ratio to improve the efficiency and horsepower. That means more power is made with less fuel and lower emissions. In fact, cold-start emissions reduced by 25 percent by direct injection.
Powered by fuel savings of six-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain combination provides an EPA-rated 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway – making lacrosse one of the most fuel efficient car in it’s segment.
