Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid is a light hybrid cars, it’s means this car can’t only run with electricity. Using KERS system (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) developed by the Williams F1 racing team. Hybrid setup using flywheel generators and regenerative braking systems on both power an electric motor mounted on the front of the machine. Porsche called Intelligent system performance.

Both the electric motor generates up to 120 kW (163 PS / 161 hp). Flywheel generator is also powered by a 4.0 liter gasoline engine six-cylinder with 353 kW (480 PS / 473 hp).

Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid will take part in a 24-hour race at the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring circuit in May.
