Hyundai i-Flow Concept

Hyundai introduced the i-Flow concept and they call it a preview for future D-segment. i-Flow uses the diesel engine Hyundai’s first hybrid powertrain. U2 i-Flow has a 1.7L engine turbo engine combined with electric motor power lithium-ion batteries.

Like Blue concept unveiled at Frankfurt will Auto Show, i-Flow exhaust recycle the heat and use it to power additional systems.

I-Flow also uses thermal engine encapsulation technology that helps the engine reach optimum operating temperature by retaining heat when the machine is idle. According to Hyundai, the i-Flow engine will remain above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) to 14 hours, longer than any other machine. Hyundai estimates that it will cut 5% of emissions in the summer and up to 9% in winter.
