Peugeot, France automaker will launch the new car that the call Peugeot 508. Peugeot has release the detail about this spec of this car. 2011 Peugeot 508 powered with six choices of diesel engine; 1.6 liter e-HDi with 112 horsepower that equipped with electronically-controlled 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed manual transmission whitout electronically-controlled, 2.0 liter HDi with 140 horsepower and 163 horsepower equipped with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission, and the top range 2.2 liter HDi with 204 horsepower that equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission.

In 2012, Peugeot will introduce diesel electric hybrid version that uses the same technology with a crossover Hybrid4 3008 which recently announced. This 2012 version will use a 2.0-liter diesel engine turbo-PSA Peugeot Citroën Group with an electric motor driving the rear wheels, which offer the potential of the combined output of 200 horsepower and has a four-wheel drive. Peugeot says that this model just produce 99g/km of CO2 emissions.
