VW Race Touareg 3 Will Make Debut At 2011 Dakar Rally

VW Race Touareg 3 will be a substitute of Race Touareg 2, that winner in 2009 and 2010 of Dakar Rally. Race Touareg 2 is the first diesel-engined car that won the Dakar Rally, VW claims. VW Touareg Race 3 is more faster, efficient, powerful and more durabily than its predecessor. Using 2.5 liter twin-turbo TDI can produce 300 horsepower and 599 Nm of torque.

The body using carbon fiber and Kevlar. VW also improve the cooling system around the roof of this car. Race Touareg 3 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds while the Maximum speed is 188 km/h. VW Race Touareg 3 has been tested over 10,000 km. Testing distance itself two times longer than the Dakar Rally track. This car will be use in 2011 Dakar Rally.
