Mercedes Benz G-Wagon LAPV 6.x, The Armored Car Concept

Mercedes has introduced the new concept of armored trucks for the defense industry. Here’s a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle 6.x, actually has been introduced last month at the Eurosatory 2010, Paris. Based from LPAV 5.4, 6.x is designed to carry larger and heavier loads, while it also offers better protection, and agility in every mobilization. 6.x motion systems using the concept of common-rail diesel engine that can move it up to 150 km / h it can still be work when 6.x carry loads as heavy as 1300 kilograms or 1.3 tons.

Other features on this vehicle, including variable shock absorbers that can be quickly adjusted to the height from the ground up to 450mm (clereance). To reduce the speed, this car adopt hydraulic disc brakes with ventilated.

Mercedes-Benz worked with European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) that also supplying military technology to the latest high-tech laden LAPV 6.X.
