BMW diesel 5 series will be launched in US market after doing some test drive in february. X5 xDrive35d use a diesel engine, 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel engine that can produce 265hp.

However, one source in BMW says that speculating of BMW 5 Series diesel engines will be used four-cylinder engine in United States. It’s the commitment of Germany manufacturers to relife the four-cylinder engine in America. The four-cylinder engine last used in 1999  by BMW 318ti. And also, four-cylinder diesel engine is more economical than existing diesel engines at BMW today. Also more fuel efficient than cars that use non-diesel engines (gasoline) 6 cylinder.
