Toyota Prius hybrid

Toyota Motor Corp. launched Toyota Prius hybrid version of the minivan by using lithium ion batteries and will available in next year.

The Company will initially produce lithium ion batteries in Teiho Prefecture. But Toyota then changed his plans to produce batteries at the Panasonic EV Energy Co, a joint venture with Panasonic Battery Corp.

Toyota also plans to sell Prius minivan at a price equal to the current model for targeted to remain a market leader in hybrid cars. Prius minivan mentioned will offer spacious interiors and still fuel efficient. Even the Prius minivan will feature three rows of seats to carry five to seven people.
